Power trading

SJVN has been granted Category “I” License for Inter-State Trading of Electricity in whole of India by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission vide Order dated 10th January 2022.

SJVN is registered at DEEP (Discovery of Efficient Electricity Price) e-bidding portal and also have Trader Membership of IEX ( Indian Energy Exchange), PXIL (Power Exchange India Ltd) and HPX (Hindustan Power Exchange).  SJVN has also set up  trading desk with an aim to provide  short , medium, long term solution  to the electricity customers.

SJVN’S endeavour is to facilitate Power Trading by creating Pan-India network of buyers & sellers. SJVN is focusing on fulfilling power supply demands across States while addressing seasonal and regional variance of demand & supply.

SJVN have a vibrant and energetic Team with vast and in-depth knowledge of Global and Indian Power Sector. We have also developed customized Power Trading Software ISET (Integrated Solution for Energy Trading) through PWC to automate its power trading activities. All the Trading related operational activities shall be coordinated from SJVN’s Office  in  New Delhi.

During the Financial Year 2024-25, Company had traded energy of 147.41 MUs (88% higher than previous Financial Year) with Turnover of Rs 75.62 Crore.
