Cross-Border Transmission Company Ltd. (CPTC) - (JV of POWERGRID, SJVN Ltd. and IL&FS)
- Approximately 86 km, Twin Moose, 400kV D/C from Muzaffarpur-TLP Nepal Connection Point and a bay extension at Muzaffarpur S/S.
Status of 400 KV, D/C Muzaffarpur- Dhalkebar Indo-Nepal Cross Border Power Transmission Line Project.
• Cross-Border Power Transmission Company Ltd.-CPTC is a JV company of POWERGRID-26%, SJVN Ltd.-26%, IL&FS-38% and NEA-10% - approximately 86 km, Twin Moose, 400KV D/C from Muzaffarpur-Sursand and a bay extension at Muzaffarpur substation.
• The work of India Portion (CPTC) viz. Muzaffarpur-Sursand Power Transmission Line of 400 KV, D/C Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar Indo-Nepal Cross Border Power Transmission Line Project has been completed and test charged on 9th February, 2016.
• The entire Power Transmission Line consisting of both Nepal (PTCN) and INDIA (CPTC portions has been successfully trial operated from 17th February, 2016 to 18th February, 2016. The Power Transmission Line has been declared commercial on 19th February, 2016 and dedicated to the nations jointly by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India & Nepal on 20th Feb, 2016.
• Presently, around 80 MW of power is flowing from India to Nepal through the 220/132 kV, 100 MVA transformer installed as a contingent arrangement.
• The completed / audited cost of project is Rs. 242.54 C
