400 KV DC Transmission Line for Evacuation of Power from 900 MW Arun III Project to Bathnaha Nepal

Power Evacuation system consists of 277 km long 400 kv DC Transmission line from Diding (Project Area) in Nepal through Dhalkebar (Nepal border) to Sitamarhi (India). Out of this, the Nepal portion of 217 km from Arun-3 Power House (Diding) to Nepal Border (Bathnaha) is being constructed by SJVN. DPR for this 217 km Transmission Line amounting to Rs. 1236.13 crores approved by CEA on 07.02.18 at PL of June 2017. Transmission License issued by GoN on 12.02.2019. CCEA accorded investment approval on 08.03.2019.

MoU signed with PGCIL on 28.05.18 for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for execution of transmission line through 5 packages. All five Packages have been awarded and work is under progress.
